CLASSIC CUBE

In a classic Rubik's Cube (3x3x3), there are six faces covered by nine stickers, each of one of six colours: white, red, blue, orange, green and yellow. It is the most common cube.

RUBIK'S CUBE HISTORY

Rubik's Cube is a 3D puzzle invented in 1974 by Erno Rubik, a Hungarian architect. Originally was called the Magic Cube, but in 1980 Erno changed the name to Rubik's Cube.

The Rubik's Cube is considered the world's bestselling toy, and in January 2009, 250 had been sold worldwide.

Although the Rubik's Cube reached its height of popularity in the 1980s, is is still known and used. Since 2003, the World Cube Association, has organised competitions worldwide and kept the official world records.
